Associating a color with its palette
In Warframe, every color you pick belongs to a specific palette (Classic, Fire, Gamma…).
Each palette follows a 5-column (A to E) × 18-row grid, 90 swatches numbered from A1 to E18.
Palette grid: 5 × 18 (A1 to E18)

The same color code can exist in multiple palettes.
From human fashion to Fashion Frame
The color association rules used in the real world and fashion can be applied directly to Warframe fashion: a dominant color, supporting tones, and an accent. Monochrome, analogous, complementary, triadic, and neutrals plus accent map directly to Warframe colors.

Pick a primary color to preview derived harmonies.
Monochrome
One hue family, different lightness values. Uniform look.
Example: blue monochrome
Analogous
Neighboring colors on the wheel (blue, cyan, turquoise). Little contrast between them.
Example: cool analogous
Complementary
Opposite colors on the wheel (blue / orange, red / cyan). Strong contrast.
Example: blue / orange complementary
Cool blue + warm orange: sharp contrast on the Warframe.
Triadic
Three hues spaced around the wheel (red, blue, yellow).
Example: triadic
Neutrals + accent
Grey or beige across most of the skin, plus one saturated accent. Like an accessory on a neutral outfit.

Find the closest catalog color
Once you've picked your harmony, the color association tool returns the closest swatch in the Warframe palette catalog.
Accent slot (joints, trim, Primes, Deluxe, Heirloom)
In styling, the accent is a contrasting belt, shoes, embroidery, a button that draws the eye. On a Warframe, it's often the Accent slot (mainly for Primes, Deluxes and Heirloom): joints, trim, fine patterns, armor details.
Complementary
Put the hue opposite your Primary in Accent for sharp contrast.
Strengthened analogous
Accent = same family, more saturated or lighter than the base.
Neutrals + accent
All grey on Primary/Secondary/Tertiary, one saturated swatch in Accent.
Avoid: Accent matching Primary (no visual relief), or four saturated base slots. Prefer triadic or neutrals + accent.
Metallic colors
You often pick a hue that evokes gold, silver or bronze, usually on the Accent slot.

Fire palette: anatomy and tips
Fire is a gold / metal palette. It's my favorite palette for any golden accent.
